ACTIRON® DMSA 18 is a versatile catalyst in powder form specially adapted for epoxy cross-linking mechanism- based powder coating. Therefore ACTIRON® DMSA 18 is particularly recommended for powder coating systems such as: Epoxy/polyester, Epoxy/ Dicyandiamide, Polyester TGIC, Polyester/ PT 910. The use of ACTIRON® DMSA 18 allows reducing significantly the curing temperature of the powder coating to reduce energetic costs or to decrease the curing time improving the productivity. A combination of both effect is also possible.

Contrary to Imidazole based catalysts, ACTIRON® DMSA 18 does not influence negatively the yellowing of the coating. In addition, due to its hydrophobic behavior, ACTIRON® DMSA 18 improves substantially the anticorrosion characteristics of the coating.
- Method of Use and Recommended Levels
- ACTIRON® DMSA 18 is supplied as free-flowing powder with uniformly-sized particles. Therefore is very easy to incorporate it in the mixture of powders at the time of pre-homogenization.
- Addition amount: 0,5- 2 % on binder and cross-linker.
