- Applications
- ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P is a versatile catalyst in powder form specially adapted for help the cross-linking of epoxy, hybrids, acrylic or polyurethane based powder coating.
- ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P acts as polymerization accelerator and therefore allows to lower significantly the curing temperature of the powder coating.
- In general the catalytic activity of ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P is greater than that of tertiary amine or amino phenol type catalysts. Compared to 2- methyl imidazole, ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P have better latency and display better flow and leveling properties.
- ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P fast reacts starting from 140°C.
- Epoxy systems catalyzed with ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P must be stored at temperature below 10°C, to have 6 - 12 month stability. If stored at 18-22°C, the life time is about 3 months.
- Method of Use and Recommended Levels
- ACTIRON® NXJ 60 P is supplied as free-flowing powder with uniformly-sized particles. Therefore is very easy to incorporate it in the mixture of powders at the time of pre-homogenization.
Addition amount:
- As catalyst 0.2- 0.5 % on binder and cross-linker.
- As hardener 8 to 20 % on binder
