raybo 38 NilFlo is a highly compatible additive for control of sagging and settling in solvent borne systems. The use of RAYBO 38 permits control of sagging and settling with no adverse effects on color, gloss or drying time. It will produce a significant reduction in flow with a minimal increase in viscosity. The maximum effect is evident immediately and remains stable during storage. RAYBO 38 will not produce seeding common to most other grind-in flow control additives. Best results require incorporation into the grind phase.

raybo 75 ProtectR is a hydrophobic complex formulated to provide long term corrosion protection to emulsion, water reducible, and solvent based coatings. RAYBO 75 chemi-absorbs to steel providing increased adhesion, preventing undercutting, and providing a hydrophobic barrier to resist moisture attack. In aggressive water systems, use a flash rust inhibitor in addition to the RAYBO 75. This provides protection during the critical drying cycle.

raybo 3 AntiSilk is a balanced combination of primarily volatile compounds effective in controlling silking and floating. It is also useful in the control of “fisheyes”, craters, and orange peeling. RAYBO 3 leaves the film during the drying process ensuring the absence of solids which might have deleterious effects on coating properties. It is particularly useful in coating formulations containing small amounts of organic pigments in combination with large amounts of inorganic pigments such as TiO2. RAYBO 3 is an effective fluidizer producing better atomization and subsequent orange peel control in polymers such as automotive acrylics. RAYBO 3 is also effective in eliminating pigment flooding. The use of RAYBO 3 produces immediate results which will remain stable during storage. It is effective in most solvent systems and can also be used in water reducible alkyds.

raybo 85 Rustib is a cationic wetting agent. Because of its polarity, it is attracted to the metal surface forming a mono-molecular hydrophobic layer. This affinity increases adhesion and resistance to corrosion undercutting in coatings containing RAYBO 85. When added to coatings pigmented with transition metals containing pigments like phthalocyanine blue, insure that the surfactant demand has been met. If it has not, RAYBO 85 will be absorbed onto the pigment, reducing corrosion protection.

raybo 57 OptiSperse HS is a broad spectrum dispersant. It is equally effective in promoting the dispersion of both low and high HLB value pigments. The highly effective dispersant action of RAYBO 57 will often produce reduced mill time while improving color development, gloss and reducing puffing tendencies. RAYBO 57 is 100% solids making it very useful in formulating high solids solvent borne and water reducible VOC compliant coatings. It provides an opportunity to use a dispersant which does not introduce solvent to the formulation. It can also be use as the sole grinding vehicle in the production of tinting pastes. RAYBO 57 can also be used successfully in solvent inks and caulks. RAYBO 57 is useful in a wide range of solvent and water reducible systems.

raybo 57 OptiSperse HS

raybo 6 AntiSag has the superior wetting properties that makes it well suited for use in a wide range of products. It exhibits a range of system compatibility not shared with other materials used for sag control. Puffing agents generally used for sag control can produce viscosity increases in the paint system. RAYBO 6 produces sag and settling control by improved wetting and dispersion rather than by viscosity increase, even with post addition. In controlling settling, RAYBO 6 will not produce side effects such as loss of adhesion, film softening, or reduced gloss associated with the use of anti-settling agents such as stearates, palmitates, and clays. When used as a dispersant, the high wetting capability of RAYBO 6 is particularly effective with difficult to wet pigments such as carbon black and phthalocyanine blue. It is also very effective in dispersing puffy pastes. In high solids systems using high shear for dispersion, RAYBO 6 will produce increased color intensity, fineness of dispersion and decreased dispersion time.

raybo 61 AquaWet effectively eliminates fisheyes, craters, and crawling in water and water reducible systems. It also reduces water sensitivity during the first 24 to 36 hours of the coating cure period. RAYBO 61 is active at the coating/substrate interface. The superior wetting capabilities of RAYBO 61 also permit its use as a dispersant. When used for this purpose it is applicable to both organic and inorganic pigments. Its use can reduce mill time, eliminate puffy structures and control flocculation.

raybo 56 MagnaMix is a film former which is effective for improving wetting, dispersion, and anti-settling. As a film former it can replace an equivalent amount of vehicle. RAYBO 56 can shorten grind time, produce finer dispersions and improve color development. The use of RAYBO 56 in putty, caulk, and wood filler compounds can reduce costs by permitting the use of increased amounts of inert ingredients.

RAYBO 60 NoRust is a versatile and extremely effective flash rust inhibitor. It contains both vapor phase and contact corrosion inhibitors. As a result, RAYBO 60 prevents flash rusting in latex systems intended for direct to metal application. It also provides corrosion protection to unlined cans.
