THA is a plant-based alternative to standard hyaluronic acid. It has a superior water retention capacity and is able to efficiently moisturize skin and hair. Its softness also makes it a natural alternative to silicones. Capacity for holding water (Fig.1)
Fig.1: Hold 500times of water while sodium hyaluronate only hold 400times, the water-sucking and swelling capacity of THA is not significantly influenced by PH

- SOD-like activity of THA
THA has capability of exhibition a dose-depent SOD-like activity (Fig.4) , Furthermore, feton reaction revealed a dose-dependent active oxygen savenging effect. (Fig 5).

Membrane formed by THAis much softer than that formed by sodium hyaluronate. (Fig.6)
- THA form protective film hydrophobic
THA aqueous solution, under 80°C hot air blowing, can form a layer of hydrophobic protective membrane on the skin surface, which helps the skin to be more soft and smooth.
