- RECKLI Epoxy OH is a tailored surface resin for making rigid, wear-resistant negative molds with excellent level of detail. It is particularly suitable for the manufacture of models and block molds in the ceramic industry.
- Furthermore, it can be used for filling and leveling joints, grooves, defective spots or screw holes on a multitude of substrates, in particular timber or steel.
- Processing
- Before processing, the base component must be stirred up thoroughly. Add the hardener (B) to the base component (A) and mix them homogenously. Transfer the mixture into a second receptacle and stir it up again. Thereby the incorporation of larger amounts of air should be avoided. Once mixed, the processing of the material must be completed within the pot life (_x0010_20 - 30 minutes). Mixing larger quantities decreases the processing time.
- RECKLI Epoxy OH is preferably applied with a brush in several layers. Each coating can earliest be applied after the preceding layer is sufficiently cured (50 – 70 minutes, depending on the temperature). The best adhesion is achieved if the surface is still slightly wet but not displaceable anymore, however, after – _x0012_ hours at the latest. Alternatively, sprinkle oven-dry quartz or loose glass fibers on the still wet surface to ensure sufficient adhesion.
- To facilitate the control of complete and adequate coverage, especially at edges and corners, add color paste (max. _x0010_2%) to every second layer.

The substrate must be stable, sound, dry and clean. To ensure good adhesion, it must be free of oil, grease or wax. Vice versa, to enable an easy subsequent demoulding, the substrate must be sealed and covered with an appropriate releasing agent, if not self-releasing.
Safety & Health
- Safety
- Protect skin and eyes from material splashes. Provide sufficient ventilation in the working place. Please consult the relevant safety data sheet and attend to the indications on the label of the package regarding the Dangerous Goods Regulation. This pamphlet is intended solely as an application directive. It does not claim to be binding and valid for all modes of application. A preliminary test under operation conditions is highly recommended.
