Application & recommended viscosity
- Brushing, roller coating 60-80 s (4 mm/20 ˚C DIN 53211)

Standard paint application steel container
- Primary surface treatment – cleaning, degreasing, (if necessary) blasting
- 1-2x crosswise priming coat with Rokoprim Container RK 103 (optimum thickness of one paint coat: 50-60 μm)
- 1- 2x Rokoemail S 2029-Thix top coat (30 μm – 40 μm of one dry coat thickness)
Recommended conditions during the application
- The optimum temperature of the environment should be 20 ˚C, the real humidity max. 75 %, and the temperature of the surface min. .3 ˚C above the dew point or higher
- The paint application can be appplied during lower or higher temperatures, however you have to discuss with the ROKO technician
- The individual layers of the topcoat Rokoemail S 2029 can be oversprayed with the technique „wet to wet“ after approx 20-45 min., at the dry coat thickness 30-40 μm of one layer.
- If the overspraying „wet to wet“ is not used, and the next layer of paint will be applied into the dry , but not into the completely cured first layer, it is possible that will follow the issue of “ puckering“ of the paint after its drying. The overcoating interval without this issue can not be exactly provided, as depends on the lots of factors –especially coat thickness, type of application,diluting and weather conditions.
- From the years of experience- it should be the overcoating of the top coat after 3-5 days in this issue.(after completely curing of the topcoat), depends on the conditions.
- in double layer spray of paint Rokoemail S 2029 Thix realized in a short time interval, it is also necessary not to exceed the total dry thickness of both layers. This should not be higher than 80μm . Too much thickness of the layer significantly slows drying and hardening inside the film.

- Spraying application of metallic colors (for example RAL 9006, 9007) must follow the same application conditions (thickness, dilution, pressure, type of nozzle, etc.). Any deviation from the standard application method causes a change and appearance of color shade. Application by roller, or by brushing is not suitable for these color shades.
