Recommended Uses: Priming new drywall. Provides white background for hanging translucent wallcoverings. Excellent at preparing surface for double cutting.
Not Recommended For: Sealed or glossy surfaces. Not recommended for direct application over oil-based primers or paints.
Compatible Coatings: All water-based products and all ROMAN® adhesives
Substrates: New, bare drywall, cured plaster, existing water-based primers, or filling compounds
Mildew-Resistant: All Roman products contain biocides for in-can preservation

Coverage: Up to approx. 400-450 square feet per gallon
Drying Time: Typically dry-to-touch in approximately one hour and ready to install wallcovering in three hours. Low temperature, high humidity and poor ventilation will slow down the drying process.
- Application Instructions
Surface Preparation: Surface must be free from grease and other residues, dry, smooth and structurally sound. Check surfaces for paint bonding and damaged wallboard or plaster. Repair all unsound surfaces. Before proceeding with any unusual conditions, consult your adhesive or wallcovering supplier.
It is critical to always test the surface with the recommended primer or adhesive to ensure compatibility. Select a small, inconspicuous area of the surface for testing and apply the primer or adhesive as specified. Inspect test area after 24 hours for any defects before proceeding with installation of wallcovering.
Dilution: Do not dilute.
Tinting: Can be tinted with universal tints; 4 oz./gal. maximum
Application Method: Use only when the room temperature is above 50ºF. Apply at recommended spread rate using a brush, roller, or spraying system. If using a spray system, back rolling is recommended. Do not overspread.
Airless Spray:
PSI Capable: minimum 3000 PSI
Hose: 3/8” I.D. Tip Size: .015 and larger Gun PSI: 2000-2300 Clean-Up: Before the primer dries, remove any excess with clean water. Brushes and rollers should be cleaned immediately after use with a mild soap and clean, warm water.

Safety & Health
- Warning
If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. Lead is toxic. Exposure to lead dust can cause serious illness, such as brain damage, especially in children. Pregnant women should also avoid exposure. Wear a niosh-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a hepa vacuum and a wet mop.
- Caution
Do not take internally. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use of skin and eye protection is recommended at all times. If contact with eye occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes. If skin contact occurs, wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if rash or other symptoms occur. Do not mix with other chemicals. Use in a well-ventilated work area. Close container after each use. Keep out of reach of children.
