Acti.Z is an effective accelerator activator suitable for articles based on all type of rubbers, elastomers and latex. Acti.Z is fast gaining popularity due to its physio-chemical properties
and its cost to performance ratio. Increasing concentrations of Acti.Z yield faster onset of cure. Further, Acti.Z reduces dosage levels significantly as compared to other regular Zinc Oxides and achieves satisfactory activation under normal usage conditions while ensuring similar or even improved physical properties of the end products. It allows space in the compound for addition of value-added preparations for improving rubber performance. In case of transparent products, higher dosage of regular Zinc Oxide imparts translucency to the products due to differences in refractive indices. This necessitates usage of low dosage Zinc Oxide with higher activity such as Acti.Z- Advantages
The following specific properties make this speciality oxide highly effective for curing all types of rubber compounds including latex.
- Acti.Z is delivered with surface area of upto 60 m2/gm.
- Acti.Z is characterized by very low Heavy Metal impurities due to their selective chemical removal in its manufacturing process.
- Acti.Z disperses well into the rubber matrix resulting into a significant fall in the cure time while causing little change in the scorch time and in turn improving the productivity.
- Acti.Z improves mechanical properties of vulcanizates such as modulus, tear resistance and resistance to abrasion.
- Acti.Z causes no change in odor, taste or color of vulcanizates and does not bloom.
- Acti.Z significantly reduces consumption as compared to conventional Zinc Oxides.
- Acti.Z provides good dimensional stability and thermal conductivity due to its ability to increase viscosity of compounds.
