Although all Rust Bullet Coatings can be brushed or rolled, our Automotive Formula contains more metal and is a bit thinner than our Industrial Formula. This allows for an allowing for an easy application with HVLP spray equipment and provides a smoother finish usually desired for automotive projects. Metallic gray in color.

- Typical Uses
Stops existing corrosion and prevent its return, and prevents the formation of rust on new metal. Uses consist of mostly all vehicle applications including chassis, frames, undercarriage engine bays, trailers etc. If it is made of iron or steel, it will rust and corrode if left unprotected. Complete multi-coat system, and can used as the base, intermediate and top coats.
- Surface Preparation
Surface must be free of loose paint and rust, oil, grease, wax, moisture, chlorides and any other contaminates that may affect adhesion or performance. Methods include chemical cleaning (SSPC-SP1), tool cleaning (SSPC-SP 2 &3), high-low or combinational pressure water cleaning (SSPC-SP 12) and/or abrasive blast cleaning (SSPC-SP5). Do not use other branded products with Rust Bullet Coatings without consulting.
- Recoat Ability
After 2-6 hours, not to exceed 12 hours.
- Cure Times
Depending on ambient temperature and relative humidity, and WFT.
- Handle: 2-4 hours.
- Touch: 2-4 hours.
- Recoat: 2-6, not exceeding 12 hours.
- Compatibility
With most other MCUs (Moisture-cured Urethane); always refer to the coating manufacturers guidelines for application and compatibility.
