SABIC’s NORYL NHP8000VT3 resin delivers thin-wall, non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardance and achieves one of the highest comparative tracking index level (CTI PLC0). Potential applications include insulation film for higher-voltage EV batteries. This resin is a non-reinforced blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and polystyrene (PS)that can provide outstanding heat resistance, ultra-thin-wall flame retardancy, and superior tracking resistance performance. NORYL NHP8000VT3 Resin may be evaluated in extrusion and injection molding processes. It contains a non-brominated and non-chlorinated flame retardant, ensuring adherence to many safety standards while avoiding specific halogens. NORYL NHP8000VT3 Resin has:  -   A Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) of PLC 0 (600V)  -   A UL94 flame rating of V0 at 0.25mm thickness It leverages an extraordinary technology that provides: -   High impact strength -   Heat resistance -   Dimensional stability -   Hydrolytic stability -   Electrical performance -   Low moisture absorption -   Low specific gravity. SABIC’s NORYL NHP8000VT3 resin won a bronze 2023 Edison Award in the Enhanced Performance category.
