The S Face series is a line of polyglycerin fatty acid esters developed for cosmetics applications. Products in the series exhibit various properties and functions according to the degree of polymerization of polyglycerin and fatty acid type and are well suited for use as emulsifiers or oil-based materials for cosmetics applications.

Sakamoto Yakuhim Kogyo M-1001

The SY-DP series is a line of ether polyols obtained by the addition of the polymerization of propylene oxide to diglycerin. The SY-DP series has lipophilic properties and an oily feel, owing to the addition of propylene oxide, but it also has moisture-retention and hydrophilic properties derived from diglycerin. The SY-DP series can be used in various types of cosmetics as a moisturizer that does not cause stickiness.

SY-Glyster is a substance produced from natural glycerol. Because SY-Glyster consists of natural glycerol and fatty acids, it is highly safe and used in a variety of applications, including food products and cosmetics.

Diglycerin is a highly pure polyol with four hydroxyl groups produced through glycerin reaction, distillation, and refinement. Diglycerin is widely used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a raw material for fatty acid esters and other substances.

The SC-P series of polyoxypropylene polyglyceryl ethers is produced by the additional polymerization of propylene oxide and highly refined polyglycerol. Adding propylene oxide to hydrophilic polyglycerin results in lipophilicity, as well. Various properties ranging from hydrophilicity to lipophilicity can be obtained depending on the number of moles of the propylene oxide.
