    Because white button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) are grown under controlled conditions they don’t receive any sunlight (UVB). Therefore, a UVB controlled light treatment is applied during the production process  to make the vitamin D2 available. The exact amount of vitamin D2 released is regulated because the process checked and controlled.
