Crystic® CiPP Resin D5101 is an unaccelerated, thixotropic, isophthalic polyester resin ideally suited for use in the production of liners for pipe relining. Thanks to Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CiPP) technology, this resin can be used to create a new pipe lining within an existing pipe structure, making it efficient and easy to use. Once fully cured, the laminates have good chemical resistance and mechanical properties, as well as long-term property retention. This resin is therefore ideal for heavy duty, high frequency, and industrial applications. This resin should be allowed to reach workshop temperature before use, at which point its gel time will be between 3 and 6 minutes. It requires the addition of a catalyst for the curing process to begin. However, further additives such as pigments and fillers may affect its natural properties, and their effects should be evaluated before use.
