"The SGS Group’s plant located in São Sebastian do Cai (RS), state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, began in 2000, the project of alkyd resins from the fatty acid distillate, replacing soybean oil. The venture has generated a high growth business with the manufacture of alkyd resins, esters of Pitch and Polyester. We aim to constantly attend a differentiated demand and expand our businesses; SGS Polimeros Ltd. was born in August 2004, becoming a company of the SGS Group. The constants investments in technology, research and development, enabled the launch of new product lines and applications. In 2006, began the project of Polyamides Reactive, Reactive Diluent and several other products that serve the segment of hardeners for Epoxy systems. Since 2008 the company entered in a new segment, the Vegetables Renewable Plasticisers, enabling itself as supplier of solutions for the markets for PVC, rubber, among others. The main disposition of the SGS Polímeros is develop differentiated products that meet the needs of our customers. In December of 2006, the SGS Polymers conquered certification ISO 9001:2000."
