Shield Products Inc. began when Robert Diefendorf decided to develop a long-lasting coating to protect the teak on his 32-foot Chris Craft. His first product revolutionized the marine industry. He went on to create rust proofing and UV fading protection coatings for brass, copper, stainless steel, silver, concrete, fiberglass, and every other type of surface. Fluoropolymer coatings from Shield Products Inc. are now used in the telecommunications, power generation, pollution control, and electronics industries. Our products were used at Universal Studios and on the Walt Disney casting building. They were also tested by N.A.S.A.
