Ectoin SF is a substance isolated from the extreme microbe Ectothiorhodospira. Haloalkaliphila extracted from the Wadi Natron desert salt lake in Egypt and is a cyclic amino acid derivative obtained by fermentation method. It is an essential and important substance for microorganisms to survive in extreme environments, and can protect cell membranes inside microorganisms (proteins, enzymes and nucleic acids) from the ultraviolet, high temperature and salty environments. There is evidence of anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects that protect the skin from ultraviolet rays and blue light in skin care.
