Drying conditions :
SiliXan W 120 is cured thermally at temperatures between 80 and 200 ° C for 5 to 30 min depending on the co-crosslinker and the catalyst.To improve the crosslinking we recommend SiliXan Cat 100. The epoxy acts as a capped diol and can be cured like a polyol with isocyanates or melamine resins. With isocyanates a room-temperature curing is possible.
Solubility / thinnability :
SiliXan W 120 is dilutable with water, water-miscible alcohols (ethanol, isopropanol) and a couple of standard glycol ether (butyl glycol, 1-methoxy2-propanol, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether).
Compatibility :
SiliXan W 120 is miscible with water compatible coating raw materials such as resins and binders based on isocyanates, epoxy, polyester or acrylate polyol, silicon or melamine. The compatibility must be checked in particular cases.

The shelf life of the product is 6 months, provided the original container is stored tightly closed at +5 to +25 ° C. Opened containers should be processed shortly. The expiry date of each batch appears on the product label. Storage beyond the indicated period does not necessarily mean that the product is useless. However, in this case a review of the properties for the respective application is essential for reasons of quality assurance.
