Feniol is an odorous functional ingredient with a wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity; it allows the creation of self-preserving formulations with reduced irritating and sensitizing potential. Feniol does neither contain preservatives listed in EU Annex VI nor allergens and is able to provide a pleasant mild-rose aroma to the final product.

- FENIOL can be used at concentrations between 0.8-1.2%.
- The level of use may be increased to 1.5% in the more complex and fungal susceptible formulations.
- The use of chelating agents (e.g. EDTA) in aqueous systems is always suggested as improving the antimicrobial efficacy of FENIOL and reduces the usage levels.
- FENIOL is worldwide approved in all cosmetic applications both for leave-on and rinse-off.
- Can be used as the only antimicrobial ingredient in a final formulation.

Keep product in a cool place away from direct light. Store in an airtight container. The product may crystallize after prolonged exposure to temperature near 0°C, anyway it can be easily re-solubilized when brought back to room temperature.
