X-Solve™ is a high performance skin microcirculation modulator; thanks to its vasoactive capabilities, it improves blood flow in superficial vessels. It’s obtained by encapsulation by high pressure homogenization of Ethyl Ximenynate into a lipophilic vescicles constituted by Lecithin, which guarantees a better delivery of the active ingredient. It promotes production of actin in fibroblasts, suggesting a role against skin relaxation and as enhancer of skin elasticity. Ethyl Ximenynate is obtained by esterification of Ximenynic Acid from Ximenia (Olacaceae families).

Ethyl Ximenynate has a renown effect on the metabolism of arachidonic acid by:

  • Preventing the release of arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids by acting on phospholipases.
  • Preventing the cause of edema and swelling: the generation of edematogenic leukotrienes by lipoxygenases(LO)
  • Preventing cycloxygenases(COX) and the generation of PGE2,that increases capillary leaking and slows down microcirculation.

The magnitude and frequency distribution of these changes in wavelength are directly related to the number and velocity of the blood cells in the sample volume. The information is picked up by a returning fiber, converted into an electronic signal and analyzed.

Microcirculation Improvement

Xsolve is able to improve the capillary flow on thigh (+29%) in comparison to the non–encapsulated form already after 30 minutes. This finding highlights the ability of encapsulation in delivering the active ingredient and achieving a shorter time efficacy.
