SMA'RT Camphor Flakes USP is a translucent solid flake with a strong fragrance mainly comprised of cineol, pinene, terpineol, and menthol. When applied to the skin, camphor produces a cooling sensation. SMA’RT Camphor Flakes USP is renowned for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is known to stimulate venous circulation and is found in toning treatments, purifying scalp shampoos or oils, and balms dedicated to relaxing massages. When applied to cosmetic formulas, camphor oil has been shown to provide astringent properties, which may contribute towards enhancing the skin’s overall quality and appearance. It is also known to have antifungal and antibacterial properties. SMA’RT Camphor Flakes USP may increase collagen and elastin production in dermal fibroblasts and can be used as an effective anti-wrinkle ingredient in many cosmetics.
