In 2014, Brent and Andrea Schmitz purchased SOIL Service and merged it with Schmitz Ag Products, further expanding the company’s product and services.

Today, our team has over 145 years of experience and includes four Certified Crop Advisers who are dedicated to continually updating our knowledge base. Our products and equipment lineup include fertilizers, spray surfactants, and chemicals, as well as tillage equipment, row-unit attachments from industry-leader Yetter Farm Equipment, seed from Mycogen, and custom toolbar fabrication. We serve growers nationwide through our network of distributors and dealers.

Sugar E-Boost® is a natural, sugar-based soil amendment that provides energy to plants so they can more efficiently translocate and use nutrients.

SOIL BOOST PLUS contains some AMS and a pH-lowering ester to drop the pH of your water to about 5. Adding just 1 pint per acre controls the pH, eliminating the need for a pH tester. SOIL BOOST PLUS also contains proprietary buffering, penetration, and translocation agents to significantly boost the penetration and movement of most pesticides in the target plants.

Foliar feeding has become more and more popular among producers who want to maximize yields. For foliar application, we recommend Foliar Opp® and slow release nitrogen. If you want to add 10 to 15 bushels of top-end yield in corn or 5 to 12 bushels for beans, these are products you should strongly consider. Because both products are effective in corn and soybeans depending on the situation, our experts will recommend the combination that is right for your crop and the current growing season.

SOIL Cal is one of four components in our Nutrient Recycling Program, a program that stimulates natural biological life in the soil to break down the stalks and stubble left in the fall. The longer the microbes have to work on the crop residue, the more nutrients are released for next year’s crop. The biological activity keeps the soil bacteria and fungi in a healthy balance, which is good for your crop’s potential yield and has been shown to greatly improve overall plant health.

Its proprietary buffering, penetration, and translocation agents significantly boost herbicide and pesticide penetration and movement in target weeds, helping to make sure you get the most out of your investment.

Soil Service Chelated micronutrients is a type of supplement. Chelated trace elements assist you in meeting your production objectives by ensuring optimal nutrient availability. The chelating process, with the help of the chemical EDTA, forms a protective ring around the nutrient, preventing it from being bound up in the soil or by other nutrients. These nutrients can be applied with starter fertilizer or foliar fertilizer.

SOIL CAL® should be used if you apply liquid nitrogen at a rate of 28-32 percent. SOIL Cal is a great nitrogen stabilizer that mixes easily with nitrogen formulations to keep nitrogen stable in your soil profile.
