How Lipinova® SPMs work
SPMs are natural metabolites obtained through a conversion from EPA and DHA.
They are bioactive mediators that target resolution of the inflammatory response by activating specific cellular receptors, therefore assisting the immune system’s natural response1*.
Unlike conventional treatments, SPMs do not block inflammation, instead they support the body’s ability to naturally terminate the inflammation process1*.
How Lipinova® SPMs are Obtained
The foundation for Lipinova is the unique combination of fractionation and purification techniques applied to Omega-3 rich oil. The SPM content is standardized to 18-HEPE, 17-HDHA, 14-HDHA.
