Solvay's Jaguar series of native, cationic and hydroxypropyl modified natural guar polymers provide hair & body care formulators with a full range of conditioning and texturizing features. It offers superior performance from a natural, renewable resource. With its numerous reactive –OH functional groups, the galactomannan can be reacted with different molecules to provide controlled modifying, and functional properties that create new molecules.

The Solvay Aerosol® range of specialty surfactants is designed to improve performance in waterborne latex systems designed for waterborne architectural and industrial coatings and waterborne adhesives. These mostly anionic surfactants are highly efficient at concentrations of 0.5% to 2% and provide effective particle size control, improved stability with favorable regulatory profiles that are safe to use.

The Solvay Rhodasurf® range of APEO-Free ethoxylates are designed to improve stability performance of a wide range of polymer systems at the usage level of 0.5-3.0% (based on total monomers). The low-mid range ethoxylated Rhodasurf® products are also suitable for being used as wetting agents. Rhodasurf® nonionics are very effective and efficient. In most applications, these nonionics deliver significant performance improvement at a low usage level, such as:

Stability: mechanical, chemical, freeze thaw and pre-monomer emulsion
Wetting: pigment, substrates, etc.
Color acceptance
Less water sensitivity vs. the anionics
Less foaming tendency vs. the anionics

MIRANOL JEM CONC from Solvay is a low foam wetting agent for industrial cleaners. It is stable in alkaline medium. RHODAFAC® H-66 is a highly efficient and effective low foaming hydrotrope for non-ionic surfactants in alkaline and acidic cleaners. Used as a wetting agent in phosphatizing baths. Readily biodegradable.

Solvay’s Rheozan® SH is a multi-functional ingredient, certified 100% natural. Obtained by fermentation, this clean and environmentally-friendly rheology polymer can help you design skincare formulations with excellent sensory benefits such as smoothness and velvety after-feel. It helps eliminate tackiness while providing excellent stabilization of formulations containing acidic actives and electrolytes.

Rheozan

Biopolymer: very stable in acid media (such as sulfamic acid). Highly pseudoplastic. RHEOZAN® SH is recommended for thickening and stabilization of personal care and cosmetic formulations particularly waterbased compositions and oil-in-water emulsion systems. It can be used by itself or in combination with other natural and synthetic polymers. RHEOZAN® SH imparts a smooth and non-tacky after-feel highly desired in leave-on skin care formulations.
