A Bio-functional Ingredient

All cats and dogs deserve the best nutrition. This is why all of our bio-functional ingredients deliver additional value to maintain or boost animals’ health. Hydro-P Premium is a high-quality collagen hydrolysate. Scientific studies in both animals and humans demonstrate the ability of collagen hydrolysate to support health and long-term mobility. Collagen hydrolysate can help to reduce the sensitivity and swelling associated with joint pain and limping. It also can support the healing of wounds and burns, and helps to maintain a healthy skin and coat.

Main Characteristics

Nutritional components of Hydro-P Premium

Sonac Hydro-P Premium - Main Characteristics

Hydro-P Premium is a collagen hydrolysate type I produced by Sonac. It is a powder with particle size of 80 mesh. It can be used in a wide range of pet food formulations as well as in a variety of snacks and treats. Hydro-P Premium contains mostly proteins (collagen peptides), 4% of minerals, less than 0,5% of fat and about 10% of water

Controlled Enzymatic Hydrolysis Ensures High Quality

Production process of Hydro-P Premium

Sonac Hydro-P Premium - Controlled Enzymatic Hydrolysis Ensures High Quality

The bones used to produce Hydro-P Premium are collected from certified slaughterhouses. They are carefully selected and come only from healthy pigs approved for human consumption. Before cooking, the raw material is washed and chopped. Then the bone chips are cooked to transfer the collagen from the bones into water. The dissolved collagen is then carefully hydrolyzed with the use of enzymes, concentrated and spray-dried. Afterwards, the Hydro-P Premium particles are optimized to create a uniform powder. At the end of the process, each batch is carefully checked to ensure that our customers always receive the same, highest-quality collagen hydrolysate

Collagen is an Essential Part of The Body

Collagen makes up 75% of animal connective tissue and more than 30% of the overall body’s protein. The animal body produces a certain amount of collagen itself. However, when dogs and cats grow older, their bodies produce less collagen on their own. With age, the strength and integrity of connective tissues (skin, cartilage, ligaments and tendons) decline and increasing problems can be observed with mobility and skin health.

How Collagen Hydrolysate Helps the Animal Body

Benefits of collagen hydrolysate

Sonac Hydro-P Premium - How Collagen Hydrolysate Helps The Animal Body

Collagen hydrolysate supplementation counteracts the problems caused by reduced collagen production and stimulates long-term mobility as well as skin and coat health. Collagen peptides also preferentially migrate to cartilage, thereby helping to maintain joint health and mobility. In addition, collagen hydrolysate stimulates the activity of bone-forming cells (osteoblasts),which may help to prevent or reduce the symptoms of osteoporosis. Furthermore, other scientific studies have shown that collagen hydrolysate may support skin health

Hydro-p Premium Supports Joint Health

Collagen hydrolysate supports the mobility of joints and helps to reduce discomfort in osteoarthritic animals. Ingested typical collagen peptides accumulate in the cartilage and protect the cartilage from further degeneration. Hydro-P Premium can help to reduce inflammation and stiffness in the joints. It supports long-term mobility and the well-being of dogs and cats.
