Type 5GP™ cementitious fireproofing is derived from the beneficial combination of gypsum and vermiculite. It is non-combustible and when under fire it releases water of crystallization which turns to steam and retards heat transfer. Type 5GP™ has a controllable quick set time which expedites application. Use of gypsum as the cementitious binder, benefits of vermiculite mineral aggregate and important contributions from other additives make Type 5 products superior.
