Currently operating out of Imlay City, MI, Springfield Industries has 35 employees, along with 35,500 sq. ft. of factory space. In 2020 Springfield will open its second factory adding an additional 30,000 sq. ft.

Over the past 20 years Springfield Industries has evolved, to handle toll and custom manufacturing ranging from ingredient to complete product manufacturing and shipping.

Springfield Industries SP-EF-0040A is a difunctional epoxy DOPO adduct thatcan be formulated into epoxy systems to add flameretardancy to the systems. It is low viscosity and canbe substituted for part of the epoxy resin itself, as it isdifunctional and will create a strong epoxy backbone.

Springfield Industries SP-EA1004 is an elastomer modified solid epoxy functionaladduct. Its elastomer content is approximately 30% by weight.It is formed from the reaction of solid type 4 bisphenol Aepoxy with carboxyl terminated butadiene-acrylonitrileelastomer (CTBN).

Springfield Industries SP-612A is an epoxy flexibilizer formulation used toadd flexibility and impact resistance to epoxyadhesives and coatings. It is bisphenol A epoxy basedwith a polysulfide flexibilizing component andproduces a transparent coating when used with anappropriate curing agent.

Springfield Industries SP-8006 is an elastomer modified liquid epoxy functional adduct. Its elastomer content is approximately 40% by weight. It is formed from the reaction of liquid diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A and carboxyl terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile elastomer (CTBN).

Springfield Industries SP-EF-9030A is Part A of a two part paste epoxyadhesive for use in flame retardant systems. It can beused with Ancamide 350 hardener in a 4 to 1 ratio ofepoxy to hardener. When this epoxy system is coatedat 1 mm thickness or greater, it is designed to meetUL94V0 requirements. Customer testing isrecommended to verify suitability in specificapplications.

Springfield Industries SP-EA0060 is a difunctional epoxy flexibilizer based onpolysulfide chemistry. It can be combined with anepoxy or used by itself with a curing agent to impart ahigh degree of flexibility to an epoxy formulation. Itproduces a transparent coating when used within theappropriate formulation.

Springfield Industries SP-6201 is a solid epoxy containing aramid fiber at 20%concentration by weight. Consisting of coarse granules SP6201 can be easily fed into many mixing processes including twin screw extruders. Considered a master-batch, SP-6201 is generally used as a thixotropic viscosity modifying agent in single component heat activated formulations. It provides compounds with a high degree of shear thinning behavior. It also provides excellent and highly efficient flow control with minimal effect on adhesion attributes.
