Storage and Handling Conditions
  • Handle BIO-TERGE® PAS-8S E with care; use away from sparks and open flame. Normal safety precautions (e.g. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling BIO-TERGE® PAS-8S E. Use in well-ventilated area. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged skin contact should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material.
  • Non-Bulk Storage Recommendations: It is recommended that BIO-TERGE® PAS-8S E be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place. If it cools below the cloud point, the product will separate, and this product can crystallize under prolonged storage. When crystallisation occurs during storage, it is necessary to warm the drums up to 45°C-50°C (113°F-122°F) under stirring to rehomogenise it before use. After this operation the product can remain hazy, this is normal and does not affect its performance.
  • Bulk Storage Recommendations: BIO-TERGE® PAS-8S E should be stored in vessels of 316 stainless steel or fiberglass with a corrosion liner. Material should be stored between 20°C-35°C (68°F-95°F). Mild agitation is recommended. Material is heat sensitive and agitation prevents localised heating. Stainless steel 316 is preferred for pumps, pipes and transfer lines.
