CEDEPAL FA-406 is a unique surfactant that provides maximum foaming power in soft and hard water, saturated brine, and gypsum solutions. It is a good all purpose foaming agent. CEDEPAL FA-406 is used as a foaming agent for wall board. It is also useful for drilling in gas and oil fields and concrete admixtures.

Alkyl ether sulfates are practically non-toxic orally (LD50 >5 g/kg) and minimally irritating to skin and eyes at 1%.

Storage & Handling
- Storage & Handling
Handle CEDEPAL FA-406 with care; use away from sparks and open flame. Use in well ventilated area. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged skin contact should be avoided. Use gloves and safety goggles when handling CEDEPAL FA-406. Wash thoroughly after handling material. It is recommended that CEDEPAL FA-406 be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place. Polyethylene drums are recommended for storage of CEDEPAL FA-406. CEDEPAL FA-406 should be stored in 316 stainless steel. Atmospheric storage with flame arrestor is recommended. All fittings should be electrically grounded. Material can be stored between 80 - 90 °F. An internal hairpin coil of 316 stainless steel with low pressure steam (under 50 psig) should be used if heating is required. Pumps, pipes and transfer lines should be 316 stainless steel.
