Applications

Stepan phosphate esters produce a variety of stable emulsion polymers for coatings applications. When used in the emulsion polymerization of acrylic, styrene-acrylic, or vinyl-acrylic composition, Stepan phosphate esters demonstrate performance advantages in the following areas:

  • Low coagulum
  • Particle size control
  • Shear stability
  • Freeze-thaw stability
  • Heat and light stability
  • Retard metal substrate corrosion
  • Pigment dispersant
