Storage & Handling
- Handling Recommendations
STEPANATE® PTSA-C series products are corrosive and should be handled with extreme care. Use personal protective equipment (e.g., safety goggles and face shield along with chemical resistant clothing and gloves) and do not allow contact with eyes or skin. Wash thoroughly after handling STEPANATE® PTSA-C series products. Do not use in confined spaces without adequate ventilation and/or a respirator system.
- Storage Recommendations
- Non-Bulk Storage Recommendations: It is recommended that STEPANATE® PTSA-C series products are stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool (below 40°C), dry place out of direct contact with sunlight. It is particularly important to keep the bags dry due to the hygroscopic nature of the materials.
- STEPANATE® PTSA-C series products are subject to compaction on storage. Avoid stacking pallets as this will increase compaction. If this occurs, use suitable equipment to break up the material in order to facilitate addition into your application.
