Coverage

200 S.F/Gal @ 2 mils Wet, 1 mils DFT (Actual coverage may vary depending on type of substrate, and application method.)

Surface Preparation
  • Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, oil, or grease.
  • Rust should be removed from metal surfaces by wire brushing, steel wool or industrial abrasive paper and apply one coat of Dyco #MP-50 White Metal Primer or comparable metal primer.
  • On old surfaces, remove chalk by pressure cleaning or wire brushing; also, if necessary, seal the surface with a chalk sealer.
  • If mildew is evident, use a mildew treatment.
  • Repair all leaks with the product brush on caulk or appropriate patching compound.
  • If leaking areas are severe, embed fiberglass tape into the first layer of brush on caulk, and then apply another layer of brush on caulk over the taped area.
  • Allow to dry thoroughly before applying.
Tools

Apply with a Ransburg #2 Electrostatic Spray Gun, or equivalent.

Thinning

This product may be thinned as necessary with Xylene

Limitation
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight or when air or surface temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or above 114 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Do not apply if temperature is less than 5 degrees above dew point.
  • Do not apply if surface is damp or if precipitation is expected within 4 hours.
  • To avoid breathing vapor, spray mist, or sanding dust, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air during sanding, application, and drying.
  • If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air or wear respiratory protection (NIOSH/MSHA TC 23C or equivalent) or leave area.

Safety & Health

Precaution
  • Combustible - contains petroleum distillates.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin.
  • Use only in a well ventilated area.
  • Do not use near heat, sparks, or flame.
  • Do not apply below 32°F.
Warnings
  • If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. Lead is toxic.
  • Exposure to lead dust can cause serious illness, such as brain damage, especially in children.
  • Pregnant women should also avoid exposure. Wear a niosh-approved respirator to control lead exposure.
  • Clean up carefully with a hepa vacuum and a wet mop.
  • Calif. Prop. 65 • chemical warning: this product contains chemicals known to the state of california to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
  • Use proper protection and adequate ventilation, when using product.
First Aid
  • If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave area to obtain fresh air.
  • If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately.
  • In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • If swallowed, get medical attention immediately.
