Our company has explored the physical and geographical frontiers of its markets. In the late 1970s, this pioneering approach led to the invention of a new, patented furnace technology that revolutionized our product range and transformed the company (until then, graphite was mainly processed from natural mineral resources or the re-crushing of spent electrodes). We introduced unique large scale continuous Electro-Thermal Treatment/Purification Technology that purifies and/or treats carbonaceous materials, which expanded the boundaries of natural and synthetic graphite purification, as well as the process of synthesizing graphite or other carbon-based materials. We have also explored new avenues in continuous graphitization and developed a number of innovative processes.

Superior Graphite 2939 is a purified flake product manufactured using Superior Graphite’s proprietary electro-thermal purification technology. This continuous high-temperature process exposes flake graphite to extremely high temperatures so that impurities, including inorganic contaminants, are sublimed. 2939 is a fine size grade, relatively denser than the equivalent APH grade of the 'Thermally Purified Flake' product line produced using Superior Graphite’s dedicated milling and screening technology. Main uses are increase in thermal &amp; electrical conductivity, coatings, coefficient of friction reduction, and wear reduction in high demanding applications.

Superior Graphite ABG1045 is a high conductivity, high purity expanded graphite product. ABG1045 takes advantages of the unique continuous thermo-purification treatment patented by Superior Graphite. This continuous high-temperature process exposes the raw materials, such as natural graphite, synthetic graphite, and other carbonaceous products, to extremely high temperatures so that impurities, including inorganic contaminants, are evaporated. Combined with a variety of expansion, milling and classification techniques and processes, ABG1045 provides outstanding electrical/thermal conductivity and high purity.

Superior Graphite RGC26A is a partially graphitized carbon product manufactured using Superior Graphite’s proprietary electro-thermal purification technology. RGC’s higher porosity plays a major role in important properties, such as resiliency, sound dampening, wear rate and friction reduction, heat dissipation, shock wave mitigation and others. Best suited applications are tribology and thermal conductivity in both thermosets and thermoplastics. Porous structure also provides better compatibility with polymeric chains during compounding. In addition, free-flowing non-fluffy nature of RGC26A makes it easier to handle.

Superior Graphite 2922 is a purified flake product manufactured using Superior Graphite’s proprietary electro-thermal purification technology. This continuous high-temperature process exposes the flake graphite to extremely high temperatures so that impurities, including inorganic contaminants, are sublimed. 2922 is the medium-coarse size grade of the 'Thermally Purified Flake' product line produced using Superior Graphite’s dedicated milling and screening technology. Main uses are increase in thermal &amp; electrical conductivity, coefficient of friction reduction, and low gas diffusion property enhancement in high demanding applications.
