Svenska Aerogel’s concept for manufacturing Quartzene is unique and addresses sustainability throughout. To produce Quartzene, natural resources are used – silicon, water and energy in a patented environmentally responsible process. The production is designed in modules to be set up at the customer or in customer-dense areas. Svenska Aerogel has gone from research, via start-up and is now being scaled-up. Today, the company has developed a Svenska Aerogel 2.0 platform with increased production capacity that enables the company to be an industrial partner. The focus today is on the market segments transport, process industry, paper and pulp, as well as real estate and the construction industry. The company has created a customer-centric organization with comprehensive support, international expertise and expanded collaboration with distributors. The objective is to launch new products with Quartzene in selected segments. The company’s factory is situated in Gävle (1 h 30 min from Arlanda airport) with good air, sea and rail connections.
