Application

Sweet Solutions Whisto Jel is our standardized pectin powder developed to produce cast, slabbed or crystalized jellies and gums, marmalades or jackets in the shortest time possible. Produced from the natural jelling agents of citrus fruits, Whisto Jel acts as an emulsifying agents for various jelly goods. Candies containing Whisto Jel are ready to be cut and sugared when cool or cast in starch, without the use of a hot room to set. When cool you can handle, sand, steam or crystalize your iellies immediately.
Marmalades :
Fruit Jellies or Marmalades can be made from Whisto Jel with either fresh, frozen or dried fruit. Use such fruits as strawberries, oranges, lemons, pineapples, raspberries, apricots, plums, etc. Numerous combinations of fruit can also be used.
Jackets :
Jelly made from Whisto Jel can also be used as a jacket to coat such goods as marshmallows, nougats and other similar items. Jackets of this type help keep candies fresh that might dry out when uncoated. Candies made from Whisto Jel can be pro- cessed in less than half the time required under conventional methods.
