Swiss Valley Gouda is manufactured at both our Luana, IA and Shullsburg, WI facilities. Our Gouda is a semi-soft cheese with a creamy flavor and rich golden color. Young Gouda tends to be very mild and buttery, but it develops a much fuller flavor with age. Small eyes may be present.

Swiss Valley Whey produced in Luana, Iowa, is entirely the by-product of Swiss cheese. This ensures the pH level is slightly higher, making our whey ideal for dry blend applications. And because it's made from Swiss, our whey powder is consistently a white-to-light cream color.
