Properties and Fields of use

Liopur PFL 1284 needs an amount of appr 5 % butylglycol for film formation.
Coatings based on Liopur PFL 1284 form tack-free, transparent films with very good surface
hardness after air drying, high flexibility and elasticity. These coatings exhibit a very good water
resistance and good ethanol resistance.
Liopur PFL 1284 is suitable for 1C NMP-free wood lacquers in combination with self
crosslinking Acrylic emulsions like Liocryl XAM 2851 or Liocryl XAM 2714 resulting in very good
chemical resistance according to DIN 68861 1B. These lacquers give good sandability,
overcoatability and high pendulum hardness together with good elasticity even at low
temperature (cold-check test).
Lacquers based on Liopur PFL 1284 and Liocryl XAM 2714 result in good creme resistance and
show a good grain enhencement on oak, beech and nut wood.
.
After drying for 7 days at room temperature, films based on Liopur PFL 1284 have the
following properties determined by a Zwick materials test (pre selected force 1N,
test rate 100 mm/min):
Tear strength approx. 1,5 N/mm²
Elongation on break approx. 300 %
