Bonding primer between metal, galvanized steel, aluminum, concrete, plastic and formica surfaces to solvent based top coats such as: Solvent Based Poliur, Hamerton and Superlac. For interior and exterior use.

- Surface Preparation and the Painting System
All Types of Ferrous Metals
Before application, make sure that the surface to be painted is clean and dry. Remove fat, rust, flaking metal and any other foreign matter with a steel brush and sandpaper (160/180) and then rinse with Tambour Hamerton Thinner or 1-04 Tambour Thinner. In a case that the rust cannot be removed by the aforementioned mechanical means, treat the rust with Tambour Rust Converter and then apply two coats of Multi-Purpose Solvent Based Primer and allow drying to a hard coat. Use the aforementioned mechanical means to remove grayness/rust and to abrade the surface.
Galvanized Steel and Aluminum
Remove oxides as thoroughly as possible. Remove fat, rust, flaking metal and any other foreign matter with a steel brush and sandpaper (160/180) and then rinse with Tambour Hamerton Thinner or 1-04 Tambour Thinner. Apply one coat of Multi-Purpose Solvent Based Primer and allow drying to a hard coat.Proceed to apply the desired top coat paint system according to its instructions. In a case that the surface to be painted is galvanized steel and/or painted metal, remove rust as much as possible. Use the aforementioned mechanical means to remove grayness/old paint and to abrade the surface. Then remove dust using a 1-32 thinner.
Formica
Before application, make sure that the surface to be painted is clean and dry. Sand the surface lightly using sandpaper and Remove dust then apply one coat of Multi-Purpose Solvent Based Primer and allow drying to a hard coat. Proceed to apply the desired top coat paint system according to its instructions.

- Application
Stir the paint well before application and while painting.
When applied with a roller or a brush: dilute with up to 10% of Tambour Hamerton Thinner/1-04 Tambour Thinner.- Air spraying: dilute with up to 15% of 1-32 Tambour Thinner.
- Airless: dilute with up to 7% of 1-32 Tambour Thinner.
Cleanup : Clean work tools with one of the thinners used to application, immediately after use. Pour a thin layer of mineral white spirit on the remaining paint and close the container tightly to prevent air penetration.
Cautions: The product contains Xylene. Any work that includes application and use of this product shall be performed according to the applicable Safety, Health and Environmental regulations. The paint is inedible, flammable, keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use in a well ventilated area only. Avoid inhaling the paint or its vapors. Specific information regarding the product is available in the safety manual (MSDS). Wash your hands with water and soap after completing application.
- General Notes
Do not apply when the wall is wet or when rain is expected for about 24 hours before and after the application and/or the wall temperature is below 10°C and the relative humidity is above 85%. Never mix this material with others when not specifically recommended by us. Achievement of the best desired results is subject to proper application in strict conformance to our instructions and safety measures. Before application, the user should verify that the product is indeed designed for the intended usage and that the surfaces to be painted are properly prepared, and are suitable for the product’s application. Data presented here is based on our best knowledge and experience. We reserve the right to update and/or alter it without prior notice. This product should be carefully tied down during transport.
