- Application
RonJohn® Electra Strip is designed to be used in an immersion bath but, can be applied by brush or spray. Depending on the type of material being removed, you will see begin results in minutes but sufficient softening for disassembly may take overnight. Heating of the product (up to 130F) will decrease the time required. Waste from the stripping process can be disposed of according to local regulations for non-hazardous waste unless the material you are stripping is a hazard. RonJohn® products typically have a unique fruity or spicy aroma. If desired, once your removal is complete this aroma can be neutralized by washing with a mild household ammonia solution. Otherwise, this aroma will dissipate over time.

It is a safer and more environmentally friendly replacement for processes that use toxic chlorinated products like methylene chloride; better still, RonJohn® Electra Strip contains no hazardous air pollutants, RCRA listed chemicals, or chemicals controlled under other EPA regulations like SARA 313. RonJohn® Electra Strip is very effective at removing polyurethane, epoxy, enamel, acrylic, and powder-coating. With an NFPA 2,2,0 profile, RonJohn® Electra Strip is a great alternative to both dangerous conventional solvents and less effective green products.

- Proper protective wear should always be worn. Users should wear butyl rubber or heavy latex gloves, eye protection, and when in poorly ventilated areas a solvent-rated filtered mask.
- In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and water.
- In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do not ingest. If ingested, do not induce vomiting and seek immediate medical attention.
- RonJohn® Electra Strip is a combustible material. Keep away from ignition sources.
