Dolomite is a double carbonate of Magnesium and Calcium (CaCO3. MgCO3) Theoritically, it contains 21.7 MgO and 30.4 % CaCO3 and the remaining being CO2. How ever in nature much variation takes place in the composition. It is sedimentary origin and is supposed to have been formed due to alteration of Calcium Carbonate sediments or rocks, by seawater rich in magnesia.

DOLOMITE

Calcite is the most common form of natural Calcium Carbonate. Calcium Carbonate minerals are the most important and abundant of all sedimentary rocks. It occurs in crystalline form in white color. It is many times associated with varying proportion of Magnesium Carbonate.

Silicon occurs abundantly in nature in the form of oxide (Silica – SiO2) and forms the main constituent of earth. It is very hard and abrasive in nature

The Hindustan Mineral Products Activated Manganese Dioxide is used to make Activated Manganese Dioxide Paste for the use in Polysulfide Sealant. It acts as “Accelerator” and helps to ‘set’ when mixed with “Base” component.

The Hindustan Mineral Products Gray Barytes MF 400 # are the different names given to the same mineral having composition BaSO4 (Barium Sulfate). Barytes has higher specific gravity and lower bulking value. It has low oil absorption and it has high resistance to acids and alkalies.

The Hindustan Mineral Products China Clay PG RF &amp; MF 400# is naturally occurring “Hydrated Aluminum Silicate” having the usual compositions Al2O3 2SiO2.2H2O. The grading of the material is primarily done on the basis of the whiteness. The important properties of China Clay are that it has good plasticity , does not swell in water, withstand high temperature (upto 1300°C and even above ) and is a non-conductor of electricity.
