As this wax is food grade, all processed articles may be used in contact with all types of food. Since this wax has low compatibility with PVC, it has an external lubricating effect, by preventing sticking of the compound to the metal surfaces of the processing equipment. It also retards the rate of fusion, thus providing a relatively low apparent viscosity of the compound prior to fusion. This wax is sold in a free flowing granular form which can be uniformly dispersed throughout the compound.
