- Sansin Wood Sealer is a low VOC water-borne protective wood treatment that aggressively repels water while allowing wood to breathe. Over a short time, the wood will weather uniformly to a beautiful silver gray tone. Wood Sealer provides exceptional protection and won’t break down with exposure to sunlight, retaining its water-repellency and protecting against weathering and wood rot. Because it erodes gently with time, maintenance is easy – just apply a fresh coat of Wood Sealer.
- Wood Sealer is designed to bring dimensional stability to wood by reducing moisture absorption up to 74% during wetting periods.
- Wood Sealer dries clear, will not peel and can be used for interiors as well as exteriors. Wood Sealer is ideal for log homes, decks, fences, wood shingles, gazebos, yard furniture and wood siding.

Recommended for use on new and old wood surfaces such as decks, fences, siding, timbers and roofing shingles or shakes.
- Preparation
- Inspect wood surfaces for defects and make any necessary repairs.
- Use Sansin cleaner and/or wash the entire surface with a minimum 3000 PSI pressure washer using clean water.
- Smooth or millglazed surfaces must be sanded well with 60-80 grit paper using variable speed random orbital sanders.
Working Procedure
- Stir well before and during the application process.
- Test formula on an inconspicuous wood surface to ensure proper color and penetration.
- Apply in proper conditions with an ideal temperature of 21ºC (70ºF) and relative humidity of approximately 50%.
- Do not apply if rain or near freezing temperatures are expected.
- Saturate the wood surface.
- Brush out any puddles and runs.
- Do not apply on wood that is warm to touch or in direct sunlight.
- Continually check the surface; wipe up all puddles and brush out runs.
- Always read published directions of use prior to beginning any project.
