Casamid™ 873 has excellent nitro cellulose compatibility and optimum performance of an ink is obtained with relatively high levels of nitro cellulose. The low odor of Casamid™ 873 makes it suitable for food packaging inks. Casamid™ 873 complements Casamid™874 and between them they span the normally encountered levels of nitro cellulose with Casamid™ 874 being suitable for lower levels. Solubility characteristics of Casamid™ 873 are excellent as is gelation resistance. Casamid™ 873 can be considered as a general purpose, alcohol soluble resin for flexographic inks.
