Casamid™ 876 has similar properties to Casamid™ 873 & 874, the two general purpose workhorse resins in the Thomas Swan range of non-reactive polyamides for inks and lacquers. However, for optimum performance, higher levels of nitro cellulose are required with Casamid™ 876 than with Casamid™ 873 & 874. Water resistance, gel recovery and ester tolerance are excellent, which together with the low odor make Casamid™ 876 suitable for food packaging inks.
