Casathix™ 2092 is used to impart structure into alkyd resins. A level of 5 to 7% by weight on the base resin would normally be used with a reaction time of 2 to 3 hrs at 200 to 230°C. The optimum Casathix™ 2092 level and reaction conditions required, however, will depend on the base alkyd resin used and the degree of thixotropy required in the finished product. These should be established by experimentation.

Store under cool, dry, conditions. It is recommended that this material be used within 12 months of certification.
Casathix™ 2092 polyamide resin is not classified as dangerous and presents little or no toxic hazard at normal ambient temperature, provided good standards of industrial and personal hygiene are practiced. However, dust may be produced during handling and the wearing of protective masks and precautions to avoid potential dust explosion etc. are required.
