This activated carbon can be used to purify solutions having low pH, such as hydrochloric acid, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup. It is also used where high purity water is important, such as bottling and brewing.

- Wet drained activated carbon adsorbs oxygen from the air. Therefore, when workers need to enter a vessel containing wet activated carbon, they should follow confined space/low oxygen level procedures.
