Thermoplastics
- Features and benefits: In TPE-S overmolding compounds, the modifier improves adhesion on hard substrates (such as PC, PA, ABS). Due to the high degree of grafting, only part of the PP in the TPE compound has to be replaced by the modi fi cator. In PP natural fiber compounds, the mechanical properties are signi fi cantly improved and the water absorption reduced.
Recommended additional amounts
- 0.8-3% additive in delivery form on the total formulation, depending on the natural fiber content in fiber compounds or the PP content in overmolding compounds. The indicated amounts are for guidance. The optimal amount to be used is determined by delimiting series of tests..
Training and procedure
- Homogeneous distribution of the modifier in the compound.
