Nitric Acid - 55% is a colorless to pale yellow colored, corrosive liquid, with an acrid odor. Nitric Acid is not flammable, but, will readily react with most organic materials and may cause a fire. Nitric Acid has also been treated to remove most of the free nitrous oxides. Nitric Acid uses include the manufacturing of ammonium nitrate and other nitrate salts, adipic acid, isocyanates, nitrotoluene, nitrobenzenes, nitrocellulose, explosives, and pickling of stainless steel. Product concentration can be lowered to meet individual customer requirements.
