- Recommended Use
0.2-1.5 % on total pigment weight . The minimum viscosity determines the minimum dispersant level required for any system; it is recommended that the formulator use 1.5-2 times
the minimum level to ensure full stability this should always be within the recommended levels of use.- General Use
Trisperse A is a polyacrylate-based dispersing agent for a wide range of aqueous coatings, with little impact on water and alkaline resistance of the dry film. Use should be within pH 6-10 at temperatures below 70°C. Pigment should be added with stirring to water already containing dispersant and antifoam for best millbase properties. The pH of the finished paint should be 8.5 for best dispersing performance. Trisperse A is highly effective in replacing polyphosphate dispersants, without the instability of the latter caused by alkaline hydrolysis of the phosphate. Trisperse A is resistant to overdosing but levels above the maximum recommended may affect some coating properties. Insufficient dispersing agent can lead to instability on storage. Trisperse A level plotted against millbase viscosity shows rapid viscosity drop followed by a gradual recovery after full wetting is achieved.
The minimum viscosity determines the minimum dispersant level required for any system; it is recommended that the formulator use 1.5-2 times the minimum level to ensure full stability this should always be within the recommended levels of use.

Safety & Health
- Safety
Trisperse A polyacrylate dispersant solutions are water-borne and non-toxic under normal use. Details are given in the SDS for individual products.
Storage & Handling
- Storage
Under suitable conditions, the product can be stored for up to 12 months. Storage under shading is preferred; a temperature range of 5-40°C is recommended. High temperature may cause drying out and affect quality, especially if partlyused containers are not tightly closed after use. If these conditions cannot be met, please contact the Technical Department for guidance.
