- Torque and Drag: 1-3 % by volume. Maintenance is achieved by adding .5-1 drum per 24-hour period or as needed to increase ROP.
- Sliding Pills: 3-5% by volume can be added directly to the suction pit or sent downhole in pills to reduce torque and increase ROP.
- Stuck Pipe: Can be spotted in its concentrated form across the zone where the drill pipe has become stuck. Sufficient soaking time should be allowed while tension and torque is applied to the drill string and worked up and down in attempt to free the pipe.
