Applications & Uses

Application

Wet all lawn areas but do not soak in during the application. Water it into the thatch layer afterwards for about 15 minutes.

  • For Existing Thatch Layer : Apply at 3 oz. per 1,000 sf. every 3 weeks. Water enough to soak all the way through the thatch layer and into the soil, add SSP™ or Super Hume Plus™ to help aid penetration through the thatch. Apply mid- spring through early fall.
  • Water Regularly : Keep soil and thatch layer moist or decomposition will cease. The thatch degrades at the point where it comes into contact with the soil. You will see it turn into a rich, dark humus as it begins to break down.
  • For Compost Piles : Add 16 oz in a gallon of water. Spray evenly over the compost pile at a rate of 5 oz per cubic meter (3ft x 3ft x3ft) of compost. Water in or turn into the top half of the compost pile. Cover compost pile and Keep compost pile moist. Check on compost pile every three days and turn pile to prevent overheating and add water on dry spots.
